Month 2: Behavioral Emergencies

Hi all--

We’re going to weave in-and-out of the ABCs here in the next couple of months and include some topics that are really important but that can kind of get lost in the fray. This month we’re going to focus on behavioral emergencies.

First, we’ll look at a lecture from a provider just down the road in New Hampshire named Eric Jager, who is an attorney and paramedic and who has given some excellent lectures around the country on deaths in Police Custody. I’ll also include some articles to read about the paramedics who received criminal charges for one of those incidents.

Then we’ll go to a talk I did with my friend Sean Bilodeau a few months ago on how to AVOID the scarriness that I just exposed you to! We’ll include some additional resources on chemical and physical restraint of agitated patients.

As always, stay safe out there and don’t hesitate to reach out!
